BREAKING NEWS: EDWARD ABBOTT BECOMES NEWEST OWNER OF A WEE SCOTTISH FOOTBALL CLUB
Glasgow, SCOTLAND - 3 May 2024 - Caledonian Braves FC, a wee Scottish football club, today announced that Edward Abbott has become their newest owner. Now, you’re probably thinking - by what sorcery did Ned manage to buy a football club? Did he win the lottery? Sell his soul? All valid questions. But it’s more likely he found $100 in some old trousers and shrewdly invested in the uncommonly handsome Caledonian Braves.
Abbott has joined a passionate community of owners worldwide committed to elevating the club to Scottish Premiership. “We haven’t a clue who Edward Abbott is,” said Founding Owner Chris Ewing. “But we couldn’t be more delighted to welcome Ned to our global ownership group and community.”
Many across the organization shared similar excitement for the Troy native’s addition to the club. “Who the hell is Edward Abbott,” asked Braves gaffer Ricky Waddell. “Mate of yours?”
The wee club currently competes in the fifth tier of Scottish professional football after being promoted once already in their brief history. That’s correct, promoted before Wrexham, but you don’t hear us making a fuss about it…
